It is attack on Premier’s image following anticorruption campaign initiated by him, Igor Volnitski
“I consider that the appearance of this denigrating information that is untrue is an attempt to attack the image of the Prime Minister. It is not excluded that persons and parties that do not like the anticorruption campaign initiated by Premier Vlad Filat are behind this attempt to manipulate public opinion,” the Prime Minister’s spokesman Igor Volnitski said, reacting to the news story “NGO accuses Prime Minister’s adviser of tax evasion”, published by Info-Prim Neo on July 1.
”In connection with the news item broadcast by Info-Prim Neo Agency, which was disseminated by other media outlets, I specify that the Prime Minister does not have an adviser named Vitalie Rotaru,” said Igor Volnitski.
“I do not rule out that such attempts will repeat. Thus, I call on the representatives of the mass media not to believe different ‘sensational news’ and to contact me or my colleagues from the Government’s Press Relations Division any time they need confirmation, refutation or any other kind of information.”
