Iurie Leanca says he will come to Parliament if decision is unanimous

Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said he will present himself in Parliament at any moment if the legislative body, not a faction, takes a unanimous decision in this respect. He made the statement in a news conference, when asked by journalists if he will attend the October 3 parliamentary hearings on the situation at Banca de Economii and the Chisinau International Airport, IPN reports.

“When I’m invited to present certain subjects in Parliament, I will not hesitate to do it, but it must be a decision of Parliament, not only of a faction. The Communists have their objectives. We have nothing to hide,” stated the Premier.

In a sitting last week, Parliament decided to organize hearings on Banca de Economii and the Chisinau International Airport, at the suggestion of Speaker Igor Corman. The parliamentary groups of the Pro-European Coalition welcomed this initiative, while the Communist opposition insisted that Iurie Leanca should also take part.

The state-owned shareholding in Banca de Economii fell from 56.13% to 33.38% after the last additional share issue for which the state didn’t subscribe, while the Chisinau International Airport was conceded to a Russia company.
