The Chisinau-Ungheni road that started to be reconstructed several years ago will be ready by the end of 2019, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Kiril Gaburici was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.

The minister said the repair works were stopped because the contract for the reconstruction of the Chisinau-Ungheni road was problematic, but these were resumed. “This is a contract financed by the foreign partners. We could lose the financing for the repair of the Chisinau-Ungheni road, but I can now tell with certitude that the road will be ready by the end of 2019,” stated the minister.

Kiril Gaburici noted such problematic contracts existed earlier and he struggled for these to be terminated as the contracted business entities didn’t fulfil their obligations.
