The assumption by the Government of responsibility to adopt 11 bills was necessary, but the legislature is not the only one to blame for the created situation, leaders of the parties of the government coalition said in the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.

The chairman of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group Valeriu Strelet said the given bills are very different. Some of them haven’t been submitted to the legislative body, while others have stayed in Parliament for a period. He made reference to the bill on the combating of money landing and terrorism financing, which institutes more difficult procedures for challenging the documents issued by the competent authority of the National Anticorruption Center and which can generate abuses. The bill on public finances and budgetary-fiscal responsibility has stayed in Parliament for almost two years, but it was passed in two readings in the period. Now the Government only adjusted some of the figures.

However, Valeriu Strelet considers that the process was a perfect and necessary one as some of the bills had been subject to interminable debates.

The head of the Liberal Reformist Party Ion Hadarca approved of the Government’s act, saying exceptional measures should be taken in exceptional situations. According to him, Parliament would have wasted time in examining less important bills.

The president of honor of the Democratic Party Dumitru Diacov, who also welcomed the assumption of responsibility by the Government, said Parliament didn’t manage to adopt particular important bills because it had a very tight schedule in the spring-summer session.

The Government assumed political responsibility for 11 bills, including the bill concerning the combined nomenclature of goods, the bills to amend the Tax Code and the Law on Mortgage, the bill on the organization and functioning of the single national emergency call system 112, the bill to amend the 2014 State Social Insurance Budget Law so as to raise the salaries of different categories of employees by 20-40%, the bill to amend the Law on Judicial Organization and the bill concerning the disciplinary punishment of judges. If no censure motion is submitted within 72 hours, the bills will be considered adopted.
