The faction of the Liberal Democratic Party left the October 22 sitting of Parliament after their proposal to postpone the meeting until next week was rejected, IPN reports.
The Lib-Dems asked that the sitting should be put off until next week so as to listen to Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet’s report on the socioeconomic situation in the country then. They also requested that political meetings inside the alliance should take place until next week.
The Democratic and Liberal MPs said they are ready to vote for postponing the sitting, but only after the socioeconomic issues included in the agenda are examined.
When the issue was put to the vote, only 15 lawmakers voting in favor of putting the sitting off. Thus, the Liberal-Democratic faction left the assembly hall.
Liberal-Democratic MP Vadim Pistrinciuc told the journalists that they are surprised at the fact that their alliance colleagues didn’t support them. According to him, a violation of the agreement to form the alliance was witnessed last week too.
