Lone governmental official unveils property so far
The deputy minister of education and youth, Ion Ceban, and the deputy Chisinau mayor, Nistor Grozavu, are the next two public servants making public their income and property declarations for 2007, within the “Property in sight” campaign.
Ion Ceban is the first and, so far, the only official in the Moldovan Government disclosing his incomes and properties in the campaign, Info-Prim Neo reports quoting a communique of the organizers. Ion Ceban declares his only income in 2007 was his deputy minister’s yearly salary of 41,283.96 lei.
Nistor Grozavu declares he got 1,125 lei on his job in 2007, as he was appointed as a mayor in December 2007. In addition, the deputy mayor gained 159,240 lei from pedagogical activity and 27,650 lei from other legal sources.
The drive “Property in Sight” was started by the anticorruption paper „Obiectiv”, published by the Independent Press Association (IPA) and the Anticorruption Alliance. Earlier, part of this campaign, speaker Marian Lupu, deputy speaker Maria Postoico, MPs Dumitru Braghis, Grigore Petrenco, Vlad Cubreacov, Valentina Serpul, Vitalia Pavlicenco, Ion Varta, Oleg Tulea and Vlad Filat, Chisinau mayor Dorin Chirtoaca and Floresti mayor Iurie Tap unveiled their income declarations.
The declarations on incomes and properties of all candid dignitaries can be found on the IPA’s web site – http://api.md/news/4335/index.html.
