The creation of industrial incubators in the municipality of Chisinau instead of inefficient large companies, promotion of municipal companies’ products at regional and international fairs, reanimation of the economic council under the Mayor General by attracting famous experts and academicians to economy to work out industrial development strategies are some of the priorities included in the strategy for supporting the industrial potential of Chisinau municipality proposed by the Democratic Party’s candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau Valentina Buliga, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the party. Valentina Buliga presented her strategy at the Chisinau-based glass factory. “The industrial potential of the municipality of Chisinau must be fully realized. The City Hall is not an economic entity and cannot create workplaces directly. But the municipal authorities can support the economic entities to create new workplaces. We can reduce the number of unemployed persons only under a long-term public-private partnership,” said Valentina Buliga. The program proposed by Valentina Buliga includes measures aimed at supporting the salary earners. For this purpose, the municipal administration will facilitate the allocation of plots on which to build apartment buildings for employees to companies, under advantageous conditions, and will plead for the provision of a 5% exemption on the income tax if this money is reinvested in the construction of kindergartens for employees, it is said in the communiqué.
