Despite being one of the favorites for this competition, Ion Luchianov could not match his performance from the previous European Championship, where he won the bronze for the same discipline. Moldovan athlete Natalia Artyc will enter the competition on Saturday, at discus throw. On the following day Zalina Marghiev will fight for a medal in the hammer throw final. Almost all of the athletes participating in this championship are part of Moldova’s national team to the Olympics in London.
