Maia Sandu, in her capacity as prime minister elected by Parliament, is calling on public functionaries to team up with the new Government.

Speaking at a briefing, Maia Sandu stated that “public functionaries are the backbone of the government and, thanks to their expertise, it’s them who truly govern the country”.

“We just want that functionaries have one authority: the law”, stated Maia Sandu.

“The country is going through difficult times, as the previous oligarchic government doesn’t want to let power go, trying to involve public functionaries in dirty games.”

“The peaceful transition of power depends on you. People’s confidence in institutions depends on your loyalty. I’m asking you to support the efforts of the new legitimate Government and build together a prosperous country. You know better than listening to the illegal and undemocratic orders of Plahotniuc. He wants to use you as a shield to protect himself”, declared Maia Sandu.
