Acting minister of education Maia Sandu is the Liberal Democratic Party’s candidate for Prime Minister. The information was confirmed by the leader of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu, IPN reports.

The politician told the journalists that a meeting was held inside the Democratic faction and the candidate for Prime Minister was to come to this meeting to discuss visions and particular things. “The meeting was postponed until tomorrow, but we weren’t told the causes,” stated Marian Lupu.

Asked about the candidate, the politician said that everyone already knows and he can confirm that Maia Sandu is the candidate for Prime Minister.

On July 23, the Liberal Democratic Party, the Democratic Party and the Liberal Party singed the agreement on the formation of the Alliance for European Integration 3.The name of Maia Sandu as a candidate for premiership has been so far disseminated only by the media and opinion leaders. The Liberal Democratic Party, which is to put forward the candidate for premiership, hasn’t made public the name of the candidate yet.
