The Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) has only one person who is paid salary and this is not the party’s leader Maia Sandu. The statement was made in the talk show “Politics of Natalia Morari” produced by TV8 channel, IPN reports.
Maia Sandu said she hasn’t received a salary during two years. “I do not get a salary. I’ve been involved in full-time volunteering for two years. It is not normal and we are not in a normal situation. We are on the verge of a precipice. We will either go towards an abyss, which is a non-democratic, authoritarian regime with corruption that will not end, or we will head for Europe, towards correctness and democracy, where we will have parties that will be able to function differently, where the people will not have to live at the subsistence level,” stated the politician.
Maia Sandu noted that the account of the PAS usually contains 8,000-12,000 lei. The money goes to pay rent for the offices in Chisinau and in two-three other localities in the country. “We wok as volunteers and will continue to do so, if necessary. We will walk if we don’t have money for fuel, but will not stop here only because they want so,” she said, referring to the representatives of the power.
