Marian Lupu announces date of reforming congress of PDM

The leader of the Democratic Party (PDM) Marian Lupu made public the date of the congress that will mark the start of the party’s reformation. The seventh ordinary congress of the PDM will take place on June 16 and has several ambitious objectives, Marian Lupu told the press, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. He expressed his certitude that the congress will achieve its objectives. “I’m sure that the announced goals will be achieved, including the reformation, development, growth and modernization of the party. These principles are supported by the whole team of the PDM. It is a large-scale event for us and I hope for the entire political class of Moldova,” said Marian Lupu. He regretted the delayed reaction of the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin, who recently said that the situation in the PCRM worsened because of Marian Lupu’s defection. “It’s a pity that he started to realize evident things only after most of the heavyweights left the party. But, no matter what happens to this party, the people with left views should be represented,” stated Marian Lupu. According to the press, a special working group of the PDM, headed by the party’s deputy chairman Vlad Plahotniuc, for several weeks has been working on the set of documents that regulate the reformation of the party.
