Marian Lupu: Dialogue with protesters should continue, but without Bolshevik demands

The dialogue with the protesters should continue, but these should put forward people’s real demands, not extremist demands, the chairman of the Democratic Party (PDM) Marian Lupu said in the talk show “Reply” on Prime TV channel, IPN reports.

“We must say it trenchantly that the protest mounted in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau must not be hindered. It is a democratic exercise. But the crowd there is not homogeneous. On the one hand, there are the protest organizers who want to form a political organization and thus seek consecutive resignations. Surely they can create and promote a party, but should do it in a civilized way. On the other hand, there are the ordinary people whose demands are justified. The people are not stupid, but are tolerant. I refer to the extremist, even Bolshevik demands of the protest organizers,” stated Marian Lupu.

He admitted that the ruling politicians made a series of mistakes. “There are mistakes as ideal governments do not exist. But we, those from the ruling alliance, knew to learn the lesson,” he said.

Marian Lupu noted that nobody from the senior administration will resign. “We, those from the PDM, will provide all the support to the new Government, which was installed less than two months ago, but managed to do many things already, especially because its program meets the demands of the ordinary people,” he stated.
