Marian Lupu goes to Brussels and Bucharest
Acting President Marian Lupu will pay a number of official visits to European states in the near future and will meet with his counterparts, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the legislative body.
During April 9-13, Marian Lupu will be visiting Brussels, at the invitation of the President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek. He will deliver a speech on the opportunities of the Eastern Partnership and interparliamentary cooperation at the meeting of the Parliamentary Forum of the Community of Democracies.
On April 28 and 29, Moldova’s Head of Parliament will be on an official visit to Romania, while on May 7 he will go to Istanbul, at the invitation of the President of Turkey. He will take part in the Parliamentary Forum, organized by the Interparliamentary Union and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey with the UN’s support.
On May 15-17, Marian Lupu will be taking part in the meeting of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States in Saint Petersburg. Towards the end of May, he will go to Warsaw to participate in the Summit of Heads of State of Central and Southeast Europe.
At the beginning of June, Moldova’s Acting President will take part in the activities that will be held to celebrate 150 years of the foundation of the Italian state, while between June 29 and July 1 in the Summit of the South-East European Cooperation Process that will be held in Montenegro.
