The politicians and parties that want early elections will bear responsibility before the people as it is felt that society has an absolutely different opinion, the leader of the PDM Marian Lupu, Moldova's Acting President, told the press on Friday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
“The narrow interests of a party probably prevail over the national interests. You know what politics is like – they say one thing, do another thing, but think of a third thing. This is how things stand. Sometimes, a day brings more than a year,” Marian Lupu said.
He also said that they discuss with the PCRM, but this party should itself formulate a position and present a platform as regards the election of the head of state. “They should clearly say what they want and how a political system should be,” Marian Lupu said.
As to the fact that the leader of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin wants a wide coalition, Marian Lupu said he has always praised those who have a constant position. “The Democratic Party and I personally consider we should come together at the negotiating table. The PCRM had a different position until recently. We will discuss the issue and try to identify solutions. But this does not mean bargaining,” said Marian Lupu.
Asked if he will discuss with Vladimir Voronin at a festivity that will be held to celebrate the jubilee of the director general of Cricova winery, Marian Lupu said he will go to Cricova to congratulate Valentin Bodiu, not to talk to the leader of the PCRM. “We can discuss the problems in a civilized manner,” Marian Lupu stated.
