The head of the PDM Marian Lupu considers the PLDM deviated from the agreement on the constitution of the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) when it voted together with the PCRM in favor of returning a bill on pharmaceutical activity to the relevant commission in Friday's sitting of the legislative body, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The way is paved for destroying the Alliance and forming a green-red alliance,” Marian Lupu stated. The returned bill introduces the phrase “National Catalog of Drug Prices” and bans the importation of medications that are not written in the given catalog. Asked by the press if the agreement to constitute the AEI was flouted, first vice president of the PLDM Mihai Godea said the proposal to send the bill back was in fact put forward by the Liberal-Democrat group and the Communist MPs accepted it. “It wasn't a legislative initiative, but a procedural matter. I'd recommend Mister Lupu not to hurry to make such statements,” Mihai Godea said. The Liberal leader Mihai Ghimpu said he was not dissatisfied with the PLDM's move, but the party headed by Vlad Filat must consult with the Alliance colleagues first before voting together with the PCRM.
