Mayor of Chisinau dissatisfied with road workers' performance
The snow that fell on March 6 and 7 tested the capacities of the specialized municipal services. No ice formed on the streets where the snow was removed quickly. This should be a lesson for the future, Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca said at Monday's meeting of officials of the Chisinau City Hall.
The mayor instructed that the services involved in snow removal works work out an intervention scheme so as to decide which streets should be cleaned first, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Dorin Chirtoaca thanked the road workers and the services that cleaned the snow from roads this winter, saying though there was not enough equipment and the winter was hard, the city had not been paralyzed.
As many as 880 cubic meters of antiskid material had been spread on March 6 and 7. The works were estimated at 177,000 lei.
