Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici handed over commemorative medals on the occasions of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II to veterans of this war. The event involved also veterans of the war for defending the independence and territorial integrity of Moldova, who worked for institutions managed by the Government in different periods, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, the Premier congratulated the veterans on the occasion of May 9, saying this holiday has a special meaning and should not be forgotten, as the sacrifice of all the people who fought for peace should not be forgotten.

Chiril Gaburici expressed his profound gratitude to the veterans and wished them health and many happy years.
