The leader of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu, together with his wife, went to vote at the polling place housed by the Chisinau high school “N. Gogol” at about 11.00.
The Liberal leader said he expects that the people will follow the same road. “There is no way back and we must go on,” said Mihai Ghimpu. “Today it is a very important day as we must make a choice. I found the solution. We have to choose between a rabbit and a lion. The rabbit should be in the steak, while the lion at the City Hall,” said Mihai Ghimpu.
He also said that the observers of the Liberal Party supervise the elections all over the country. As to the polling booth curtains, Ghimpu said their absence makes the elections free and fair and there is no problem if the people vote without a curtain at the entrance to the booth.
The Liberal leader informed he will spend the rest of the day at the party’s head office, from where he will monitor the voting process.
