Parliamentarian Mihai Godea, leader of the Democratic Action Party, says that law enforcement bodies shirk from investigating the reciprocal accusations between PLDM and PDM. No institution tried to find whether Vlad Filat and Vlad Plahotniuc are involved in fraud schemes at state-owned enterprises Franzeluta, MetalFeros, Moldtelecom, Aroma and Tutun CTC. Mihai Godea says that the answers of law bodies are vague and incomplete, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“If the investigation bodies beats around the bush, we’ll continue to live in a country were accusations of crime appear and die in TV studios and at press briefings”, said Mihai Godea at a conference on Wednesday.
Of the four notified law enforcement bodies, only CCCEC, SIS and the MAI have answered. The General Prosecutor’s Office is yet to react. The parliamentarian found the answers incomplete and vague. All the bodies referred only to Franzeluta, because the case has been in the media spotlight, but kept silent about the others. None of the institutions mentioned anything about the involvement of Vlad Plahotniuc or Vlad Filat in the discovered irregularities.
The accusation war between PLDM and PDM started at the end of June. Vlad Filat declared that he wouldn’t the “puppeteer” Vlad Plahotniuc to “make order” at Franzeluta, MetalFeros and other state-owned enterprises. In turn, PDM accused the Liberal-Democrats of illicit interests in Aroma and Tutun CTC companies and in the privatization of Franzeluta, Moldtelecom and MetalFeros.
