Unaffiliated MP Mihai Godea will not vote for the Leanca Government and for the candidate for Speaker, no matter in what order the issues are considered. He said that he knows neither the name of the new alliance, nor who will form part of the new Cabinet, but knows that the negotiations were held in secret, according to the old models, and the executive is the product of the division between two groups of interests, IPN reports.
“What do they offer us to vote for? Political blackmail? The redistribution of money that is still to be stolen? We will not vote for a government that is based on such things,” Mihai Godea said in a press briefing.
He also said that the good name of Iurie Leanca cannot offset the underhand way in which the new executive was formed. “We will not support this government and I urge publicly Iurie Leanca to give up until it is not too late as he will compromise his political career,” stated the lawmaker.
Prime Minister designate Iurie Leanca will present the government program and his team in Parliament today, May 30. To be invested, the executive needs to be supported by at least 51 MPs.
