The public association “Moldova Mea”, together with former minister of security Anatol Plugaru, called on the people to take part in the November 30 elections and to vote for the Party “Moldova’s Patriots”, which will really defend the people’s interests, in their opinion.
In a news conference at IPN on November 28, ex-minister Anatol Plugaru said that the election campaign was unconstitutional from the very beginning as about one million Moldovans were deprived of the fundamental right to vote by establishing a lower number of polling places than necessary in Russia.
Anatol Plugaru also said that nowhere in the world did they remove an election runner from the race shortly before the elections. The rights of the people who intended to vote for the party that included Renato Usatyi were thus violated. “I call on you to mobilize and unite around the Party “Moldova’s Patriots”. I call on the people who intended to vote for the Party “Patria” to come and vote for “Moldova’s Patriots,” he stated.
The head of “Moldova Mea” Fiodor Ghelici said that he does not remember a similar campaign to have taken place in the Soviet period. According to him, Moldova was appropriated by a criminal organization. Until recently, he wanted Moldova to integrate into the EU and to be become democratic, but now he sees that the people are actually deprived of rights in this country.
Fiodor Ghelici noted that nobody has the right to deprive the people of the right to choose the country’s administration once in four years. The media outlets cover only the activities of the ruling parties, as if there is no alternative. He earlier supported politician Renato Usatyi in his efforts to combat the wrongdoings committed by the current government, but does not support him now in his decision to leave the country. “If Usatyi knows that he is right, he should have remained in the country and struggled till the end as the abandoned voters are now uncertain,” stated the activist.
He said he will vote for “Moldova’s Patriots” and called upon the people to take part in the elections as it is not right to ignore them.
The Party “Moldova’s Patriots” is under No. 22 in the ballot.
