Moldova pleads for continuing efficient cooperation with Government of China

Moldova pleads for continuing the efficient cooperation with the Chinese Government in the context of the implementation of the Silk Road initiative, which envisions new investment opportunities in agriculture, economy and infrastructure and cultural-linguistic exchanges, Acting Prime Minister Natalia Gherman said in a meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Tong Mingtao, who is completing his duties in Moldova, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, the Moldovan official thanked the diplomat for his work, noting that the bilateral political dialogue, the economic and sector cooperation developed during his tenure. There were also implemented cooperation projects in agriculture, internal affairs, culture and education. Over the last few years, Moldova benefitted from about €18 million in technical assistance from China.

For his part, Ambassador Tong Mingtao thanked acting Prime Minister Natalia Gherman for involvement and contribution to extending the bilateral cooperation and expressed his confidence that this trend will be kept and strengthened in the future.
