Moldova trash Norway in European U-18 Rugby Championship qualifier
The Moldovan junior rugby team qualified for the European Under-18 Rugby Championship after hammering Norway 90-0 on Wednesday as part of a qualifying tournament hosted by Moldova, Info-Prim Neo.
The Tricolors amused themselves with the Norwegian defense throughout the game to the delight of the cheering fans at Anenii-Noi Stadium which was filled to capacity.
Ion Capcaliuc from the Municipal Sports Liceum scored 4 tries, with Mihail Vasian and Victor Beilic also scoring 3 each. Other scorers included Gheorghe Gajon, Valeriu Caburgan, Dumitru Lungu, and Alexandru Savcovschi.
Elsewhere in Division D, Croatia defeated Israel 25-18. Moldova and Croatia will meet in the tournament's final on Saturday, May 22, at Dynamo Stadium in Chisinau.
