Prime Minister Dorin Recean had a meeting with representatives of the EU Partnership Mission in Moldova (EUPM Moldova) led by Cosmin Dinescu. On the occasion of one year of the mission’s inauguration, the head of the executive expressed gratitude for the contribution to strengthening crisis management bodies in Moldova and building the national institutions’ resilience to hybrid threats, IPN reports.

Premier Recean reiterated that the accession to the European Union is Moldova’s strategic objective. “The overwhelming majority of our citizens understand that Europe means peace, security and prosperity,” he stated.

The EU Partnership Mission is the first civilian mission under the EU Common Security and Defense Policy established in the Republic of Moldova. The mission has an initial mandate of two years, renewable upon decision by EU Member States.
