With 99.29% of the votes cast nationwide counted electronically, the election of mayors is confirmed in 505 settlements, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the information provided by the Central Election Commission in a news conference at 11.00, 163 of the mayors elected in the second round of voting represent the Liberal Democratic Party, 133 – the Democratic Party, 87 – the Communist Party, while 70 - the Liberal Party. The Republican Party and the National Liberal Party have by four mayors elected in the second round, the Christian Democratic People’s Party – three, while the Green Alliance Party, the Political Party for Country and Nation, and the Party of Socialists – by two. There were also voted in 33 independent candidates. The second round of mayoral elections on June 19 was held in 511 settlements. The election of local councilors was rerun in Loganesti village of Hancesti district.
