Motorcyclist dies after crashing into billboard
A motorcyclist died an his passenger was severely injured in a traffic accident on Monday, June 22, near Mingir village, Hancesti district.
Paulina Iachimovschi, Traffic Police PR officer, told Info-Prim Neo the 21-year-old driver of the Suzuki motorcycle lost control over the vehicle and hit a billboard at high speeds. He died instantly, while his passenger, aged 18, was hospitalized with multiple injuries.
Two 15-year-old boys were crossing Calea Iesilor Street, 20 meters of the zebra crossing, and were hit by a car. One of them suffered multiple traumas, broken legs, cervical vertebrae fracture and a second degree traumatic shock. The second boy broke his right forearm and suffered a torn wound. Both were placed in the Valentin Ignatenco Hospital.
A drunk driver caused an accident that injured 2 young men. The 33-year-old man was driving a Hyundai in Ciniseni, Rezina district, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree. The first passenger, aged 19, suffered head trauma, cerebral concussion and contused wound of the occipital lobe. The second passenger, aged 23, suffered head trauma and brain concussion.
Over the last 24 hours, in the Republic of Moldova happened 12 traffic accidents which killed 1 person and injured 16 others. In Chisinau took place 8 accidents, none of them deadly, which caused 9 victims, most of them passers.
