MPs will set date of presidential elections next Thursday
The date of the presidential elections will be fixed in Parliament next Thursday. The lawmakers reached such an agreement tin the February 17 sitting, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Liberal MPs said they are ready to meet with their colleagues from the ruling alliance this weekend to discuss possibilities of identifying a suitable candidate for the presidency. They insist that they should first find a candidate and then set the date of the presidential elections.
Head of Parliament Marian Lupu suggested that the elections should take place on March 15.
