National Employers Confederation: Economy was politically besieged

The political crisis worsened the economic situation in the country and delays reforms, especially those that refer to the business sector. The formation of a Government will bring the period of instability to an end and will channel the efforts of the whole society to productive activities, considers the National Employers Confederation of Moldova, IPN reports.

“The public agenda is dominated by political conflicts and pre-electoral populist messages, while the business sector, which is the main generator of sources of income in the state, is left prey to all kinds of abuses by the authorities and functionaries, either by adopting anti-business policies or by making the inspection bodies to act,” it is said in a press statement of the employers.

According to the Confederation, in 2015 the politicians continued to ignore the real needs of the population and entrepreneurs. It is December, but the draft budgetary-fiscal policies haven’t been yet presented for public debates, while the political crisis threatens to throw the country into a chaos.

The National Employers Confederation of Moldova considers such a situation is inacceptable and asks the politicians to institute a moratorium on the political struggles and to form a professional Government whose agenda will include only anti-crisis and economic recovery measures.
