NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow will pay a visit to Chisinau on May 12. The visit will last until May 14, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
The official will have meetings with President Nicolae Timofti, Head of Parliament Igor Corman, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman. He will also meet with Minister of Defense Valeriu Troenco and Bashkan of Gagauzia Mihail Formuzal. The meetings will center on the bilateral cooperation within the Moldova - NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan.
Alexander Vershbow will give a speech at the State University of Moldova and will take part in a conference entitled “NATO partnerships: accomplishments and prospects”, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Chisinau.
