Moldova’s President Nicolae Timofti Thursday received the credentials of the Ambassador of Cuba Ernesto Antonio Senti Darias and the Ambassador of Italy Enrico Nunziata, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the presidential press service, in the discussions with the accredited diplomats, the head of state emphasized that Moldova wants very much to integrate into the European Union and is making all the efforts needed to make progress in this respect. Enrico Nunziata said that Italy supports Moldova’s European integration efforts and wants to be close to Moldova in the process of implementing internal reforms in all the spheres of cooperation. For his part, Senti Darias said that together with officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration they identified four major areas of cooperation, including tourism, medicine, biopreparations, education and culture. The two ambassadors assured they will be making every effort to strengthen the relations between their states and the Republic of Moldova.
