President Nicolae Timofti will have new consultations with the leaders of the PLDM, PDM and PL on April 3. The head of state told the journalists that only the PLDM put forward a candidate for the post of Premier so far, IPN reports.
”I will listen to the arguments of every party and will do my utmost to keep my word,” said Nicolae Timofti. The head of state pledged earlier to present the candidate to Parliament by April 5.
The legislative body gave a vote of no confidence to the Filat Government on March 5. Under the legislation, the head of state proposes a new candidate for premiership after holding consultations with the parliamentary factions. There is stipulated no time limit for doing this.
