Parliament set an Easter bonus of 1,500 lei for the lawmakers. Not all the MPs will yet take this money, IPN reports.

In the April 9 sitting of Parliament, MP Ion Ceban said the Socialists found out about this Easter bonus from the media. “We found out that the legislative body, which had been nonfunctional for eight months, set an Easter premium of 1,500 lei for the lawmakers. The Socialists will not take this bonus. We decided to donate the money to the old people’s home situated in Cocieri,” he stated.

The Socialists also opposed adopting the Parliament’s budget given that the draft state budget law and budgetary-fiscal policy didn’t come into force yet. But their proposal was rejected.
