The operators of the automated operative management center of the Chisinau Civil Protection and Emergencies Service will receive emergency calls from five more central districts, namely Ialoveni, Straseni, Anenii Noi, Criuleni, and Dubasari, on the short number 901.

According to a communiqué of the Service, the center’s operators will collect information about the emergency’s character and the place and will take decisions about the necessary emergency machinery and personnel.

The project is launched following the creation last yearend of the regional dispatcher’s service Nord based in Balti, which receives emergency calls from the districts of Sangerei, Rascani, Falesti, and Glodeni, and the regional dispatcher’s service Gagauzia, which deals with calls from Vulcanesti, Ceadir-Lunga, and Comrat.
