Over 100 requests to state institutions from MPs last year

In the course of 2016, the MPs made 102 requests for information to state institutions with a view to exercising parliamentary control. Of these, 85 were questions, while 17 were interpellations. The data are contained in the statistical report on legislative work in 2016 presented by Parliament, IPN reports.

Thirty-nine requests were submitted by Socialist MPs, 27 by MPs of the Liberal Democratic Party, 22 by MPs of the Party of Communists, nine by Democratic MPs, three by unaffiliated MPs and two by Liberal MPs. For most of these, the MPs asked for written answers from the authorities.

According to statistics concerning the parliamentary session of 2016, five questions from MPs received no answer from the competent authorities.
