The legislative body confirmed Ion Druta as judge of the Supreme Court of Justice and Veaceslav Gututui as a member of the Competition Council. The two swore an oath in the plenary sitting of Parliament, IPN reports.

The draft decisions were included in the agenda at the beginning of the sitting and this aroused the dissatisfaction of the Communist opposition.

The Communist MPs criticized candidate Veaceslav Gututui, saying he is a friend of the Liberal-Democratic lawmaker Veaceslav Ionita. Gututui was named for a five-year term, while Ion Druta until his retirement.
