Parliament will have ten commissions
The legislature's Standing Bureau Tuesday decided to constitute ten parliamentary commissions, by one more than in the previous legislative body. The tenth commission, for environment and climate change, will be composed of seven MPs, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The previous commission for public administration, environment and regional development became the commission for public administration and regional development that will have eight members. The names of the other commissions have not been changed.
The draft decision was unanimously adopted by the lawmakers of the Alliance for European Integration. The members of the Communist parliamentary group did not take part in the voting.
Speaker Marian Lupu announced that the next extraordinary session of the legislature will take place tomorrow, January 12, starting at 10.00. It will be preceded by a meeting of the Standing Bureau, where it will be discussed the nominal composition of every parliamentary commission. Tomorrow the legislative body will consider amendments to the Law on the Government. A new extraordinary session will be held on January 14.
In the January 11 sitting, the lawmakers decided that the Standing Bureau will consist of 13 persons. The PCRM asked for a new break for deciding whether to put forward a candidate for Deputy Speaker.
