Parliamentary commissions to stage hearings on implementation and impact of laws

Starting with next week until the end of this year, the parliamentary commissions will hold public hearings to monitor the implementation of the legal acts adopted by Parliament and to assess their impact, Speaker Andrian Candu announced after the joint meeting of the Parliament and Government, IPN reports.

“As the Speaker of Parliament, I requested the standing commissions to finalize those action plans concerning the parliamentary hearings or control on the assessment of the impact of laws implementation. At the same time, the commissions, in concert with the ministries, will decide the actions that need to be taken under the common Parliament – Government agenda. The laws are good for the people when they are well implemented and this is what the colleagues from Parliament, the commission chairpersons, should realize,” Andrian Candu told the press.

He also said that the goal is to determine the impact of the approved norms and the execution of the priority reform action roadmap and also of the legislative plan for implementing the Moldova – EU Association Agreement.
