The parliamentary council of the Pro-European Coalition Tuesday had a meeting where there were discussed the most important bills for the country. After the meeting, the politicians told the journalists that the bills concerning the liberalization of the visa regime and initialing of the Association Agreement with the EU are high on the list of priorities, IPN reports.
“We discussed the major bills requested by the Government and those included in the Parliament’s agenda. We must debate and adopt them by the end of this session,” said Deputy Speaker Adrian Candu.
Among the main bills, Candu enumerated those regarding the information technology and the strengthening of the financial system and those with amendments to the Tax Code. “We wanted to exchange opinions within the coalition so as to know how to organize the work in Parliament,” said the politician.
The head of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group Valeriu Strelet said there will be discussed first of all bills aimed at fulfilling certain conditions on the path to European integration. “There are no major shortcomings in this respect, but there will be examined bills that improve the legislation,” he stated.
The MPs announced that the completion of the repair work on the Parliament Building will be discussed in a meeting of the Council of the Pro-European Coalition. The assembly hall and the protocol hall will be the first to be renovated.
