The group of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) has a new MP. This is Ion Poia, whose seat was validated by the Constitutional Court. The MP was presented in the Parliament’s plenary sitting on Thursday, IPN reports.

Ion Poia is an accountant by profession, a graduate of the Free International University of Moldova. He is from Ungheni and served as a municipal and district councilor in this district. The seat of MP in the PAS group became vacant after Gheorghe Agheorghiesei was elected mayor of Varzaresti commune of Nisporeni district.

On Thursday, Parliament adopted a draft decision to take took note of Galina Sajin’s decision to resign for personal reasons.

Respectively, a seat belonging to the PAS group fell vacant. Iurie Melinte, a teacher by profession, is the next substitute candidate on the PAS list.
