PCRM convenes plenary meeting this weekend

The Central Committee of the PCRM this weekend will hold a plenary meeting to decide if the Communist parliamentary group will take part in the presidential elections or not and if it will support a candidate, MP Sergiu Sirbu said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. “We will see what decision the party’s collective body takes,” said the MP. Sergiu Sirbu said the PCRM wants the presidential elections to take place in December. The Democrats and Liberals and the group of Socialists also consider that the elections should be held in December. Only the PLDM maintains that they should take place at the start of the spring-summer session, after the budget and the budgetary-fiscal policy are adopted. The Communist MP also said that the PCRM will continue the protests on Saturday and will demand that the ruling alliance resign.
