PCRM does not change its plans depending on AEI’s acts, Reshetnikov

“The Communist Party and our people do not change their plans as others want. Our social march will start as scheduled, at 13.30,” Communist MP Artur Reshetnikov, former Deputy Speaker, has told Info-Prim Neo. The lawmaker was contacted after it was announced that the special sitting of Parliament will start at 08.00, not at 15.00 as planned initially. In a TV program, the head of the Democratic faction Dumitru Diacov said that the hour was changed in order to avoid possible clashes between the people. “It is a tense situation. Different kinds of threats were made,” he stated. The PCRM anticipates that the social march will involve about 20,000 people. The Chisinau City Hall announced that if the Great National Assembly Square turns out to be too small for the protesters, the section of Stefan cel Mare Blvd. between the streets Mitropolit G. Banulescu-Bodoni and Pushkin will be closed for traffic and the transport will be diverted onto the adjoining streets.
