Ex-mayor of Balti municipality, Communist lawmaker Vasile Panciuc will run for a new tenure as mayor of Moldova’s northern capital. This fact was made public by the leader of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin in a program on Publika TV, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We decided that Mister Panciuc should return to Balti. He has a good reputation and a high rating in this town. We are convinced that he will win the elections,” Vladimir Voronin said. Vasile Panciuc was mayor of Balti in June 2001 – January 2011. Afterward, he renounced the mayoralty in favor of the seat of MP.
