The Party of Communists (PCRM) welcomes Chiril Gaburici’s readiness to undertake responsibilities as Prime Minister in the current difficult conditions. Such a statement was made by the party’s leader Vladimir Voronin after a meeting with the candidate for premiership, IPN reports.
Vladimir Voronin and Chiril Gaburici went out together before the journalists. The Communist leader said their faction put forward several proposals concerning the Government’s plan of action for the next four years. “In general, we agreed we will be very constructive the day the Government will ask for a vote of confidence from Parliament. We didn’t impose conditions. We have only constructive proposals. I do not accept when an alliance dictates to the Government what they should do,” stated Vladimir Voronin.
He refused to say if the Communist faction will accept Maia Sandu to form part of the future Cabinet. This candidate for minister of education was the main reason invoked by the faction for not voting for the Leanca Government.
Chiril Gaburici said they had a constructive discussion. ”We discussed with all the political and social partners and asked all of them to support us in the next step that we must take,” he stated.
The Government is invested by at least 51 votes of MP. The vote of confidence from Parliament could be asked in the February 19 sitting.
