PDM calls on PLDM to return to dialogue within Alliance
The Democratic Party called on the Liberal-Democratic Party to return to dialogue within the Alliance for European Integration. Besides, PDM put forward some questions awaiting answers from the Liberal-Democrats and from the law enforcement bodies, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“This is a very difficult political period. It’s not what we wanted, to be the target of PLDM attacks after the local elections. We are wondering what is the purpose of these actions: to create an atmosphere so that the President’s election was impossible? To drag the country into the chaos of early elections once again? To denigrate partners within the Alliance, in particular PDM, so that the Alliance couldn’t continue anymore?”, asked MP Igor Corman at a press conference.
His colleague, Adrian Candu, said there were many domains needing reform. “Fighting corruption doesn’t mean becoming a lonely hero and blaming your partners, claiming they don’t want to eradicate corruption. We have many unanswered questions. About the situation of insulin importers and rumors that the former Ministry of Health, Valeriu Hotineanu, controls this sector. Or why do we monopolize the national lottery and expel one of the main investors – the Greek company Interloto? These are questions for the law enforcing bodies and we hope to find answers alongside our Alliance colleagues”, said Candu.
Parliamentarian Valeriu Guma complained about the Government’s rejection of a PDM initiative regarding the Customs Code amendment. “It’s lays on the shell of parliamentary commissions. The proposal was about the evaluation of goods’ value in customs. Each citizen cares about how the tariff is calculated. That’s why we are the most expensive country, with miserable wages and pensions”, declared the MP. He added that PDM was always honest and open to its colleagues in order to fulfill its promises to the voters.
The Democrat MPs said that the Alliance was formed thanks to PDM and they would to their best to return to normality within it.
