PDM challenges decisions taken in Parliament

What has happened in Parliament on June 8 is illegal and illegitimate, vice president of the Democratic Party Andrian Candu stated in a news conference. He noted there is the Constitution and there are the judgments of the Constitutional Court that decided that Parliament should be dissolved. Those who will try to implement the decisions taken in Parliament will be held accountable, IPN reports.

“The decisions taken today in Parliament will be appealed in the corresponding legal way. I want to tell you that colleagues from the PDM’s team prepared a challenge that will be submitted to the Constitutional Court as we do not recognize the appointment of the so-called Speaker of Parliament,” stated Andrian Candu

As regards the public reports about the illegal financing of the PSRM, the vice president of the PDM said there are big questions as to the legality and legitimacy of the PSRM and of the elections of February 24. “We will request the competent institutions to investigate these case,” he noted.

According to Andrian Candu, the PDM also does not want snap elections. “But these are the only solution for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to be able to choose those who deserve to govern the country and, taking into account the alleged illegalities committed by President Igor Dodon, presidential elections should be held after this tenders his resignation,” stated the Democratic heavyweight.
