PDM lose elections in two villages
Liberal-Democrat Vera Sava registered a narrow victory over Democrat Ion Marza in the mayoral elections in Sofia village, Hancesti district, with a difference of 12 votes, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the data announced by the Central Electoral Commission, 686 of the 854 eligible voters came to the polling station.
In the other village where elections took place this Sunday, July 31, Climautii de Jos, the mayoral seat was won by Sergiu Melnic of the Liberal Party. He obtained 453 of 799 votes, while PDM’s candidate Svetlana Rotundu got 329.
Repeat elections took place in Causeni, where the winner was Grigore Repesciuc, an independent candidate who gathered 64.01% of the votes.
Currently, there are three election-related complaints examined in court, concerning Andrusul de Sus and Andrusul de Jos villages, Cahul district, and Ivancea, Orhei district.
At the same time, CEC has to set the date for repeat elections in Ciorasti, Nisporeni district, where the court annulled the elections.
