PDM to name vice presidents and assess performance of its ministers

The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) on November 17 may elect its vice presidents and decide on the necessity of changing the ministers it delegated to work on the Cabinet. According to political statements made earlier and the information disseminated by the media, these and other subjects are to be discussed in the meeting of the PDM’s National Political Council. In a communiqué from the PDM, it is said that the Council will be convened on November 17. This will be the first meeting of the National Political Council after the seventh Congress of the party that was held in June, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the communiqué, the PDM’s National Political Council will come together in the conference hall of Codru Hotel, starting at 11am. It will involve the 273 members of the Council, including the leaders of the party, ministers, lawmakers and representatives of the local and specialized organizations. Among the officially announced topics for discussion are the implementation of the internal reform in the PDM and the work of the party’s representatives at the governmental and local levels. The communiqué also says that this will be the first meeting of the Council after the PDM’s seventh Congress, where the party undertook a broad internal reformation process. This reform includes the application of the Social-Democratic doctrine and the modernization of the mechanism for promoting the members at party level. Only the chairman and first deputy chairman were elected at the June Congress of the PDM. The candidates for the other executive posts are to be named by the National Political Council.
