The election list of the Democratic Party (PDM) will have 103 candidates who will be chosen at the open election that will be held by the party on September 28. By the start of October, the party will convene its National Political Council to approve the final list of candidates and the platform for the November 30 parliamentary elections, IPN reports.

Head of the PDM’s election commission Sergiu Sarbu said the preparations for the September 28 election are close to an end. There will be set up 42 polling places in the head offices of the party’s local organizations. The people will be able to vote from 8am until 10pm. The votes from all the poling places will be brought to Chisinau, where over 200 observers from all the country’s districts will count them.

The voters will be able to propose up to five candidates without being offered a list of persons from which they could choose. In order to avoid violations, video cameras will be installed inside and outside the polling places.
