The administration of the People’s Movement “Antimafie” said the people took part in a cynical election campaign orchestrated by two politicians – the chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) Vlad Filat and first deputy chairman of the Democratic Party (PDM) Vlad Plahotniuc. The other parties kept silent and played according to the rulers of the two because they are weak and blackmailable.
In a news conference at IPN, “Antimafie” deputy head Daniela Bodrug said the election campaign prior to the November 30 parliamentary elections was based on the conspiracy between Vlad Filat and Vlad Plahotniuc planned in summer. The two parties organized the election campaign in such a way in order to hide their failures during the government period,” she stated.
She also said that this campaign is conducted in breach of all the democratic rules, while the game between Filat and Plahotniuc was ignored by the Liberal leader Mihai Ghimpu because he was supported by the PDM when he was acting head of state and when he started all his businesses. This campaign promoted only the interests of the PDM, which was to gather supporters because its image was affected when it included Vlad Plahotniuc in the list of candidates for the post of MP.
According to Daniela Bodrug, such state institutions as the Central Election Commission and the Broadcasting Coordination Council as well as the judicial system became involved in this campaign, taking permanently decisions in favor of the two parties. The PLDM and PDM created false barricades for the people to believe that they struggle against such politicians as Igor Dodon and Renato Usatyi. Moreover, they aimed to attract people from among the supporters of “Antimafie” by constituting satellite parties with similar messages.
Daniela Bodrug assured the voters that the People’s Movement “Antimafie” will enter the future Parliament and that the current election campaign will include several surprises. During the week before the elections, they will give news conference to inform about violations committed by election runners.
“Antimafie” called on civil society to create a platform so as to stage real electoral debates between party leaders at least on the last 100 meters and enable the people to form an informed opinion.
